IN-PERSON LAB AND WORKSHOP PROCEDURES
- Please DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO CLASS if, within the past 10 days, they:
- have been diagnosed with COVID-19
- have exhibited symptoms of COVID-19
- have been in contact with a person that has or is suspected to have COVID-19
- someone in your household is awaiting COVID-19 testing results due to potential exposure (this does not apply to antibody testing)
- Parents MUST REMAIN IN THEIR CARS during drop-off and pick up.
- Parents will not be allowed to wait inside our Science Center or STEM Lab during labs or workshops. To minimize potential contamination of high-touch areas, parents and other visitors are not allowed inside the Science Center or STEM Lab.
- Temperature and wellness screenings will be conducted for campers entering our facility.
- Temperature will be taken for each student using a no-touch digital forehead thermometer. To enter our facility, temperatures must be below 100.4°F (without fever-reducing medication), and the answers to health survey questions (below) must be a “no.”
- Students exhibiting a temperature greater than 100.4°F, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, or other respiratory symptoms during drop-off will not be admitted into our facility. Students developing these symptoms throughout the day will be immediately sent home.
- Upon entering, students will be instructed to immediately wash their hands well with soap and water.
- Hand sanitizer is available for their use throughout the day.
- Before leaving, students will be instructed to wash their hands well with soap and water.
- Disposable masks are available for their use if they would like to wear one. We are not requiring that masks be worn during class, as we have several students with hearing impairment or sensory sensitivities. If the state mandates the use of masks, we will require everyone to wear masks at that time.
