Kids explore the biology and anatomy of sharks as they investigate shark tooth shapes, learn about dermal denticles that cover their skin, and watch as we teach the anatomy of a real, preserved spiny dogfish shark.

DECONSTRUCTING ELECTRONICS – Online Workshop

Ages 5-11

Students learn about simple and complex circuits by taking apart electronic toys and learning about their electrical components, all while we emphasize safety and the complete proper use of basic tools, including screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers and wire cutters. Adult supervision may be needed for kids new to using tools. Registration includes our Deconstructing Electronics Kit. Pick up and shipping options available:

Students become geologists as they investigate minerals and how they are formed, and crack open their own geode to discover the crystals inside. Parent assistance may be needed for this activity. VIDEO GAME DESIGN (ages 8-11) – Online Workshop

Saturday, May 15 - 3:30-5:00pm (eastern time)

Ages 8-11

Kids learn basic coding commands and understand the importance of syntax in making a program properly execute as they learn to code a shareable game app, then customize game elements to make it their own. Designed for students with very little to no line-by-line programming experience - they will be typing in all of the code. Use of a computer is needed for this workshop.
