Little kids are natural scientists! Our Young Explorers (ages 3-5 and an adult partner) use lab tools to conduct science experiments, explore nature and create science-based art. In addition to introducing scientific concepts, we also work on fine motor skills, encourage sensory play and help develop critical thinking skills through our hands-on experiments and activities. Fun for kids and adults! At least one adult partner must attend.
Ages 3-5
Fridays and Saturdays - 10:00-10:45am
Location: Science Center (suite 5) - Roswell
$15/kid (10% sibling discount)
Limited to eight Young Explorers and their adult partners.

Friday, April 28 – 10:00-10:45am
Saturday, April 29 – 10:00-10:45am
Kids learn about snake, turtle and frog anatomy, and watch the behavior of our resident aquatic turtles.
MAY- YOUNG GEOLOGISTS
Friday, May 5 – 10:00-10:45am
Saturday, May 6 – 10:00-10:45am
Young Explorers investigate our fossil collection, learn about dinosaurs, and dig for their own treasures.
Friday, May 12 – 10:00-10:45am
Saturday, May 13 – 10:00-10:45am
We investigate crystallization as we grow our own crystals and crack open geodes to reveal minerals inside.
Friday, May 19 – 10:00-10:45am
Saturday, May 20 – 10:00-10:45am
Kids love rocks and minerals. We try to identify different rocks and minerals and test our skills in a rock-stacking challenge.
Enjoy a night out while your kids spend the evening doing fun science activities and experiments.
UPCOMING PARENTS' NIGHT OUT:
Valentine Science
Saturday, February 11 - 6:00-9:00pm
Kids experiment with candy chemistry as they create sugar density gradient and make a Skittles liquid rainbow, and of course, they make Valentine's oobleck.
Science of Leprechauns
Saturday, March 11 - 6:00-9:00pm
Kids use their design and engineering skills to create a leprechaun trap and learn about circuits to create a St. Patty's Day light-up-card.
Science of Light
Saturday, April 15 - 6:00-9:00pm
This evening, we explore light energy. Kids experiment with solar panels, glow sticks, color-changing beads, and glow in the dark substances to learn the science of light.
Forensics Science
Saturday, May 6 - 6:00-9:00pm
