MAD SCIENCE - Most popular
Kids become mad scientists as they make color-changing potions, experiment with fizzing and smoking concoctions, and create gross (and awesome) SLIME they can take home.
Recommended for ages 5-11.
MARINE BIOLOGY
Boys and girls investigate and feed ocean creatures, explore shark jaws and make shark tooth necklaces they can take home. Squid dissections are optional! Recommended for ages 7-11.
LEGO® BUILD
Kids build, experiment and create using our collection of LEGO®. The party includes some three-minute build challenges, brick making, engineering and creativity projects, and time for free building.
Recommended for ages 5-8.
SPACE SCIENCE
Boys and girls model a comet using dry ice, crash asteroids into the moon's surface and make awesome galaxy SLIME they can take home.
Recommended for ages 7-11.
POLYMER SCIENCE
Experiment with everyday polymers, including The Diaper Experiment, make shrinky dinks, and create SLIME the kids can take home.
Recommended for ages 5-11.
MINI-ROBOTS
Kids explore with robotics as they investigate circuits, color with robots, and make their own bristlebot they can take home.
Recommended for ages 7-11.
UNICORN SCIENCE
Kids have fun with unicorns as we experiment with sparkly fizzing potions, make polymer unicorns shrink, and create unicorn SLIME with water beads they can take home.
Recommended for ages 5-11.
YOUNG GEOLOGISTS
Boys and girls explore rocks, minerals and fossils, crystallize their own salt crystals, and crack open geodes they get to take home.
Recommended for ages 7-11.
What time should we have food delivered?
For a 11am-1pm party, we recommend food be delivered at 12:15pm so it is ready for the kids to eat at 12:30pm. For a 2-4pm party, we recommend food be delivered at 3:15pm so it is ready for the kids to eat at 3:30pm.For a 5-7pm party, parents usually have food delivered at 5:00 so the kids can eat at 5:15pm. We always save cake for the last 15 minutes of the party.
Do you have a freezer large enough for an ice cream cake?
No, unfortunately we do not.
Do you allow alcohol for adult guests?
No, we do not allow alcohol at our birthday parties due to liability reasons.
Do we bring paper plates and napkins?
Yes, we will have tablecloths and balloons set up on the food table and where the kids will eat. You will bring any paper plates, napkins, plasticware, cups that will be needed based on the food you bring.
How early can we arrive before the party to set up?
The center will be ready for your arrival 15 minutes before the start of the party.
Does the birthday kid count toward the 12 kids in the cost of the party?
Yes, all kids participating in the science activities count toward the 12 kids in the cost of the party. Each additional participating guest will be $10. We will settle up with the balance at the end of the party.
What is the maximum number of kids allowed for a party?
Although our center can accommodate more than 24 kids, we recommend no more than 24 kids attending the party. For parties for 5-6 year olds, a maximum of 20 kids is recommended.
What about younger siblings?
Younger siblings are welcome to participate in the science activities. All kids participating in the science activities count toward the 12 kids in the cost of the party. Each additional participating guest will be $10. If they do not participate in the science activities, they will not be counted toward the party total. We also have LEGOs, games, books and other things they are welcome to play with during the party if they wish.
Can parents drop their kids off for the party or do they have to stay?
Parents are welcome to stay for the party, or they can drop off the kids and pick up at the end of the party. If they are dropping off, we ask that they leave their name and phone number in case we need to get in touch with them during the party.
What color are your table cloths?
We will have black table cloths on the food table and on the tables where the kids will eat.
What color are the balloons you provide?
We typically coordinate balloon colors with the party theme (slime green, yellow, silver and orange for the Mad Science, blue, green and silver for Marine Biology, for example). If you have a specific color preference, please let us know a week in advance to ensure we have the color you want.
Can we set up a piñata?
Piñatas can not easily be set up at our location as there is no stable means to hang it.
When do we pay the balance of the party?
The remaining balance ($175) and any charges for additional participants ($10 for each additional participants if more than 12 participants) will be settled at the end of the party.
