What happens during your birthday parties?
The following is an example of a timeline for party activities for a 12-2pm party (and a 3-5pm party) where only cake is being served (no other food). Note, times are approximate and will vary with age and number of kids.
If pizza or other food is being served at a 12-2pm party, kids usually eat from 12:15-12:30 and we reduce the time for science activities by 15 minutes, but still have cake at the end. If it is a 3-5pm party, we finish the science activities at 4:30, and kids eat at the end of the party.
We have never been to your location. How is the room set up?
We set up a table for food, a long table where the kids will eat, and another long table where the kids will do the science activities. There is a shelf where the kids can leave gifts, and another that can be used for goodie bags and additional food, if necessary. You will have exclusive use of our center.
My kid is turning 5 years old. Is it ok that some of their friends will only be 4 years old?
Yes, 4-year olds can participate in the science activities, however, we recommend the Mad Science theme for that age group based on the activities.
What is the maximum number of kids that can participate?
We recommend no more than 20 kids for a party, especially if guests are younger than 7 years old.
How far ahead do I have to reserve a party time?
We recommend booking your birthday party reservation at least 4-6 weeks in advance. We sometimes have party times available 2-4 weeks in advance.
How do I know what dates are available for a birthday party?
Call (770 641-9336) or email (info@discoversciencecenter.com) us for availability of party dates and times.
How do I reserve a party time?
Party times are confirmed on our calendar once the $125 non-refundable deposit is processed either online here or over the phone (770 641-9336). Before paying a deposit online, please confirm that your date of interest is available by calling our office.
We are interested in a specific party time, but still need to talk about it. Can we reserve the time, but confirm later?
Party times are not confirmed on our calendar until the $125 non-refundable deposit is processed either online here or over the phone (770 641-9336). As a courtesy, we will put a 24-hour hold on a party time. If the deposit is not paid within 24 hours for a hold request, that party time may be offered to another family.
Do we have to decide on a party theme now?
No. If you need more time to decide which party theme you would like, you can let us know at least one week ahead of your party date.
Do you allow outside food?
Yes, you are welcome to bring any food you would like. We will have a table set up with a tablecloth and balloons where you can set up any food and cake.
Where should we order pizza?
If you are planning on ordering pizza, there is a pizza place right next to us (Bambinelli's 770 696-4414), but Doubles Pizza (770 642-1818) and Papa John's (770 751-9022) also deliver here (our address is 2500 Old Alabama Rd, Suite 5, Roswell 30076).
