parents' Night out

Enjoy a night out while your kids spend the evening doing fun science activities and experiments. 

  • Ages 6-11
  • 6:00-9:00pm 
  • Popcorn and drinks are included. Kids can bring their dinner if they want.​​​

Kids spend the evening carving pumpkins and making them puke using chemistry!

 

Science of Magic

Kids investigate how science is the secret to real magic tricks as they learn some simple tricks so they can put on a magic show of their own. 


Potions
Saturday, December 12
Tonight, we experiment with bubbling, fizzing and color changing potions and create bath bombs to take home. 

 

Science Game Night
Saturday, January 23
Kids spend the evening challenging each other with science-based games, including magnetic chess, balancing challenges and Minute-to-Win-It Science edition. 

 

Valentine Science
Saturday, February 13
Kids experiment with candy chemistry as they create a sugar density gradient and make a Skittles liquid rainbow, and of course, they make Valentine’s oobleck.  

 

Pokemon Design
Saturday, March 20
Gotta catch ‘em all! Kids investigate Pokémon characters inspired by real animals and use real-life biology, habitats and adaptations to design their own scientifically accurate and awesome Pokémon. 

 

Shark Science
Saturday, April 17
Kids share what they know about sharks, explore shark biology, learn about shark tagging and investigate our preserved specimens. 

 

Escape the Science Lab
Saturday, May 15
Kids solve science challenges to find the clues and escape the science lab, and then learn to make their own escape room clues.
