SCIENCE OF SKATEBOARDING
Thursdays, November 13 -December 11 (no class Nov 27; 4 weeks)
9:30am - 10:45am
Ages 6-12
Students roll into the physics of skateboarding each week, exploring how science shapes every trick, turn, and ride. From board design and balance to the forces of friction, gravity, and energy, students experiment with real skate science—testing how shapes, wheels, and ramps affect speed, control, and performance. Through hands-on investigations, they’ll uncover how engineers and athletes use physics to master stunts and design safer, faster boards. All lab materials are included in the registration fee.
Instructor: Kacey Schwan, BSc
Location: Science Center (suite 5)
Full semester - $70 OR $20/lab (plus $0.99 AH fee)
10% off sibling discount
Register for mini-course or individual labs.
LAB SCHEDULE:

Our homeschool labs are designed by scientists and educators to supplement homeschool science curricula through fun, hands-on science experiments and activities.
PLEASE NOTE: We have two classrooms, our main Science Center (suite 5), and our STEM Lab (suite 21, just up the sidewalk). Please make note of where your child's class will meet.
