Day camp for Girl Scouts

UPCOMING CAMP FOR GIRL SCOUT
HALLOWEEN SCIENCE CAMP for Girl Scouts
Tuesday, October 15
8:30am-4:30pm (extended hours 8:30am-5:30pm)
Daisies, Brownies and Juniors
Girl Scouts spend the day conducting Halloween potions, making ghosts float, creating a chunky pumpkin craft and exploring glow-in-the-dark science. All Girl Scouts receive Halloween and Glow Fun Patches and Brownies receive their Home Scientist Badge (Patches and badge included in registration fee).
Please send Girl Scouts with two snacks, water bottle and a packed lunch.
Location: STEM Lab (suite 21) - Roswell
$99/day ($109 extended hours)

GIRL SCOUT NIGHT OUT
Girl Scout PARTIES
We LOVE hosting science-themed parties!
Your Girl Scouts earn a badge or patch during our party activities. Parties may be booked for either 12:00-2:00pm or 3:00-5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays at our Roswell or Peachtree City locations. Weekday parties can also be scheduled.
Parties for up to 12 Girl Scouts are $300. Additional kids are $10 each. Badge or patch is included with party fee.
To reserve our location for a party, a non-refundable deposit of $125 is required at the time of the reservation. Before paying the deposit, please confirm that the date and time you are interested in are available by calling 770 641-9336 or by emailing info@discoversciencecenter.com.
SCOUT DAYS AT DSC
Scout Days are an opportunity for Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts to explore science and nature to complete requirements for their badges.
- Activities are self-directed so Scouts can work at their own pace with a parent or Scout Leader.
- Some DSC Educator-led activities are also scheduled.
- Themes and activities are designed to fulfill various Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies and Juniors and Cub Scout Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Webelos requirements.
- Registration includes materials for each activity and a Fun Patch. Scout badges are not provided.
- Both Scouts and non-Scouts are invited to participate. Registration for each participating child is required. T
- here is no charge for adults.
- Scout Days are held in our STEM Lab (Suite 21).
- Space is limited, so register early.

Ages 5-12
Scouts explore pumpkin anatomy with a chemistry twist, conduct a candy experiment, and making their own spooky glow-in-the-dark slime. Registration includes a Halloween Fun Patch.

**Girl Scout Connection: Home Scientist (Brownies)

Sunday, November 17th - 12:00–2:00pm
Ages 5-12
Scouts investigate why animals behave the way they do and have the unique opportunity to observe and interact with our many resident animals. We observe how different animals move, study their tracks and make a casting of an animal track just like wildlife biologists do in the field. Registration includes a Reptile Fun Patch.
**Cub Scout Connection: Tigers in the Wild (Tigers), Balancing Bears (Bears), Critter Care (Bears), Champions of Nature (Webelos) Adventures.
**Girl Scout Connection: Animal Observer (Daisies)

Sunday, December 15th - 12:00–2:00pm
Ages 5-12
Scouts explore the radial symmetry of snowflakes, crystallize their own ornaments, and investigate the unique adaptations animals have to cope with their arctic environments. Registration includes a Winter Science Fun Patch.
**Cub Scout Connection: Fun on the Run (Lions), Balancing Bears (Bears), and Earth Rocks (Webelos) adventures.
